Marc Bolan and T.Rex were one of the best bands of the 70s, if you have never heard them or seen them then enjoy them playing Jeepster on a 1970s German pop show "MusicLaden"...



Marc recorded two guitar tracks for this song (at least) and so to reproduce the sound MusicLaden did two recordings of the performance and overlayed them, thus towards the end of the song you can see one of the Marc's stop playing! ACE!

[WEB LINKS] Nazca Lines

You may not have heard about the Nazca Lines, located in Peru about 200 miles south of Lima on a desert plain between the Inca and Nasca valleys, archaeologists beleive them to date from around 200 years BC.

Across the plain, in an area measuring 37 miles long and 1 mile wide, are an assortment of perfectly straight lines, many running parallel, others intersecting, forming a grand geometric form. In and around the lines there are also trapezoidal zones, strange symbols, and pictures of birds and beasts all etched on a giant scale.

The wierd thing is they can only be appreciated from the sky, consequently they were only discovered in the 1930's when aircraft, surveying for water, spotted them.

They were created by moving rocks on the ground to create pathways, the mystery is how and why their creators made them when they couldn't even see them!?

I have still not managed to put my hands on a Powerball yet, from what I have been told they are great fun and an excellent Christmas party gift as everyone wants a go. The idea is that it is a gyroscope spinning within a ball that you hold in your hand. You get the gyroscope going with a string then rotate your wrist to increase it's speed. As it spins the gyroscopic forces push and pull on your wrist muscles, the faster it goes the more it pulls and pushes. It has a built in digital display to record your performance and high scores.

Ikaruga is a game by Treasure, argueably the best shoot-em-up creator in the world. The idea of the game is your ship can change color from white to black and back at the press of a button. All the missiles and lasers fired at you will either be white or black. If you are white and are hit by a black missile you lose energy, get hit by a white missile and you GAIN energy. The opposite is true when you are black.

This is a great game and hard in the same way as every classic Shoot-em-up has ever been. This guy (I presume it is a guy, it may be a girl) is playing Ikaruga on two player mode on his own!!!!



That is impressive!

I never did understand air-shows, it always seemed that the people went there hoping to see a crash. This video contains a compilation of these crashes put to some heavy rock german music.
