[VIDEO] The lost children of North Korea (LONG)
As a parent I find it really difficult to watch videos like this.
This is a documentary from Discovery and at 45 minutes is long to watch on your computer but people need to know that these things go on in this world of ours, and it is OUR world. Not someone elses', not a corporations' or a governments' but OURS and we are responsible.
[VIDEO] The Infamous Double Slit Experiment...
I love WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW!?...
Here is a clip from the follow up, "WHAT THE BLEEP!? DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE", an extended directors cut or really an "original plus extra bits for people who didn't understand the scientific stuff"...
Put the original on your NETFLIX list and bump it to the top. It is FAB!
[LINK] Romanesco or Broccoflower

The Broccoflower (a cross between a Broccoli and a Cauliflower) or is it a caucoli or a Romanesco? Whatever it is it is another example of mathematics in nature.
Now don't even get me started on this, I could go on for hours. I am convinced fractals hold the answer to the meaning of life. Ever since I first heard about them and mandelbrots and played rescue on fractalus(note:needs quicktime and no sound for first 1m20s - deliberately!) etc in the early 80's. I wont rant, just look yourself and think of all the other mathamatical objects in nature that you have never questioned before (snail shells, ferns, snowlakes, sea shells etc)...
See this mandelbrot movie...
[LINKS] Human Clock

I cannot believe that I have not listed the Human Clock before...
The idea is simple, submit a photo, ideally wierd and wacky, that represents a time of the day and they will assign it to that time, it could then be one of the "picked at random" photos for that timeslot...

Chris Bliss is a comedian who can juggle, or should I say a Juggler who does a bit of comedy on the side.

[VIDEO] Ping Pong Madness
A little disappointed that the cups have water in them but still quite cool...
[VIDEO] Spore, the new game from the creator of SIMS
Eighteen days since my last post, better make it good!
This is an excerpt from Will Wright's next game SPORE, probably the best game ever made!
Why? Well, you get to take a single cell organism from it conception in the goop right up to space colonisation. Watch the video. It is EXCELLENT.
If you do not believe me then at least start it and skip to 22 minutes and watch as his creation leaves it's home planet and explores space, then skip again to 27 minutes and watch for about two and a half minutes then skip once more to 37 minutes and watch to the end to see just how far out you can go. This should be required playing for young kids as I think it is the modern version of "Powers of 10" and will be inspirational. It is wonderful to imagine the penny dropping for young kids on Day/Night cycles of planets etc. - Wonderful.
If you love it then watch the whole thing.
